The Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa, revealed that his party had succeeded in apprehending four people from the raid on a home-based ecstasy factory owned by drug kingpin, Fredy Pratama. The raid was carried out at the Taman Sunter Agung Housing Complex, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The four perpetrators arrested had the initials A alias D, P, C and G. During the raid, 7,800 ecstasy pills were also confiscated.

He explained that the ecstasy laboratory might produce 3,000 pills every hour and the raw materials were sent directly to Fredy, who is currently still on the run.

“Fredy Pratama alias Amang alias Miming alias Rungkad imports raw materials that are not included in the list of narcotics precursors from China,” said Mukti in a press conference, Monday (8/4).

Mukti said that following being sent by Fredy, the raw material underwent a chemical process through guidance from suspect D until it became mephedrone material. Then, he continued, the material would later be molded into ecstasy.

“Currently we have identified D and put him on the wanted list (DPO),” he said.

Meanwhile, following this raid, his party claimed that 1,307,800 lives might be saved. For his actions, the suspect was subject to Article 114 Paragraph 2, sub-Article 113 Paragraph 2 Juncto Article 132 Paragraph 2 and Article 111 Paragraph 1 of Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of the death penalty, life imprisonment or a minimum imprisonment six years and a maximum of 20 years.
