Thiruvananthapuram / Thodupuzha ∙ Mullaperiyar dam opened. 10 shutters are opened 30 cm each. The shutters V1 V5 V6 V10 were opened at 5 pm. A total of 1870 cubic feet of water is released. The water flow is 9066 cubic feet. A warning has been issued along the Periyar coast. Do not land in Periyar. The water reaches Idukki Dam via Vallakadav, Vandiperiyar, Chappath, Upputhara and Ayyappankovil.

The shutters of Palakkad Malampuzha and Kollam Thenmala dams were also raised. A warning has been issued on the coast of Kalladyar. Meanwhile, Revenue Minister K. Rajan informed that the water level in Chalakudipuzha is under control. It did not rain much during the night. Despite the extra water coming from Peringalkuth, the water level did not rise much. The minister said that there is no need to panic.

No red alert has been declared anywhere in the state today. Orange alert has been announced in eight districts. Orange alert in districts from Idukki to Kasaragod. Yellow alert has also been declared in Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts. There is no warning in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.

Light rain continues in Kannur but there is no flood threat. Traffic has been partially restored on the Kannur-Mananthavadi pass road. Water levels in Periyar and Moovatupuzhayar remain below the danger level, but the warning continues. People have been evacuated from the flood prone area in Alappuzha. Stay boats have been prepared at various places in Kuttanad.
