The 33rd round in the Premier League continued tonight, when Manchester City defeated Brighton 0:4 and came within two points of Arsenal with a game in hand. The Citizens stood up to the pressure very easily and kept the opportunity to take the first place in the table.
The first half was simply wonderful for Pep Guardiola’s men, who simply abused the hapless hosts. First it was Kevin de Bruyne who scored a spectacular goal in the 17th minute with a shot in the net following a wonderful attack by the guests.
In the 26th minute, Phil Foden established a 0:2 lead for the great Trabalista when he scored from a free kick following the ball was deflected and misled Jason Steele. In the 34th minute, Foden completed a personal double following a serious mistake in the complacent defense of the Seagulls. In the 62nd minute, Julian Albers broke the scoring streak and sealed the result of the game when he scored in front of an empty net following a pass by Kyle Walker, who received an incredible deep ball from Ederson.
In the next round, the Blues will be hosted by Nottingham Forest from the bottom with the aim of continuing to win, with every point critical for the championship fight. On the other hand, De Zerbi’s trainees will be hosted by Bournemouth and will hope to recover once morest Andoni Ireola’s interesting team.
