A delegation of the Afghan Taliban attended a meeting on Afghanistan in Qatar on Sunday, following organizers said women would be excluded from the gathering.

The two-day meeting is the third meeting organized by the United Nations on the Afghan crisis in the Qatari capital Doha.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the chief spokesman of the Taliban government in Kabul, who is leading his delegation, wrote on social media platform X that the delegation met representatives of several countries, including Russia, India and Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the meeting.

The opening session of the third Afghan conference under the auspices of the United Nations will be held in Doha today.

According to sources, a 3-member Pakistani delegation has reached Doha, while the Afghan Taliban government delegation, which is participating for the first time, is also present in Doha.

Representatives from all over the world will participate in the conference.
