Engineers, production managers and work planners from the manufacturing industry in Foodvalley can follow a 3D printing learning path. The DigiLab Regio Foodvalley, Oceanz 3D Printing and the Makerslab are joining forces for this. At the end of the process, the participants can independently set up a business case for 3D printing.
“3D printing offers plenty of opportunities and makes the difference in every production process. The result? Cost savings, reduction of failure costs and increasing production capacity. With this learning line, we give the participants practical tips and ensure that they are prepared for the future,” says Erik van der Garde, CEO of Oceanz 3D Printing, where a number of sessions of the training take place. The metro line Opportunities of 3D printing was developed by Smart Makers Academy together with several other parties. In December, 14 participants have already completed the learning path at 3DMakerszone in Haarlem.
Boost for 3D printing in Foodvalley
Through seven practical sessions of 2 hours, participants are introduced to the full scope of 3D printing: from design to production. Thanks to the support of various metal partners, participants can follow the process free of charge. “With this project, we provide an innovative boost in the field of 3D printing in the Foodvalley region. The participants develop exclusive skills and thus take their first innovative steps,” says Joop Hazeleger, DigiLab program manager. The program is partly online, partly physical. The kick-off is at Oceanz 3D Printing in Ede.
The first day of the course is already April 4. The learning path will continue until July 4. More information and how to register can be found here. The initiative is supported by a number of parties from the metal industry. Costs for participation can in many cases be claimed from the OOM training fund.
