CANBERRA> 38.9 percent of Australians have no religion. With the release of the 2021 Kaneshumari Report, it was revealed that the Australian population is becoming largely secular. In 2016, those with no religion were 30.1 percent and Christians 52.1 percent. In 2021, 43.9 percent recorded their religion as ‘Christian’. For the first time in Australia’s history, Christians are less than 50 percent.
