39 new infections and no deaths on Wednesday

Until 3 p.m. this Wednesday, 39 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Morocco, out of 2,598 tests carried out, bringing to 1,271,981 the number of people infected since the start of this pandemic. In addition, 24,918,611 people received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, 23,419,492 people received the second, 6,860,666 people received the third and 59,022 received the fourth dose.

Morocco recorded 49 new recoveries, bringing the total number to 1,255,368, with a remission rate of 98.7%.

No deaths were recorded between Tuesday and Wednesday. The number of people who have died from Covid-19 in Morocco since the start of the pandemic stands at 16,295, while the fatality rate is 1.3%.

Morocco now has 318 active cases under treatment, with 12 patients remaining in critical condition, including 5 on life support.

As for the geographical distribution of infections in the past 24 hours, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 18 new cases (13 in Salé, 3 in Rabat, 1 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Kenitra) once morest 10 infections in Casablanca-Settat (9 in Casablanca and 1 in El Jadida), 4 in Souss-Massa (2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 2 in Taroudant) and 2 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1 in Khouribga and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh).

There are also 1 case in Safi (Marrakech-Safi), 1 in Boujdour (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra), 1 in Tanger-Assilah (Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima), 1 in Ouarzazate (Drâa-Tafilalet) and 1 in Meknes (Fez-Meknes).
