— The evidence collected so far allows him to be charged under Article 189 of the Penal Code, paragraph 2a, i.e. attempted deprivation of liberty, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison — Magdalena Sakowska from the Ciechanów police told the station.

The suspect hit a boy riding a bike in Ciechanów on Monday morning and tried to force the victim into his car. Witnesses responded to the 11-year-old’s screams. According to passers-by, the man was driving a Ford Focus with Warsaw registration plates.
It turned out the car was rented. The police quickly questioned the owner of the vehicle, which allowed them to detain the suspect.
