After the release of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 last year, Motorola took the lead in launching the Edge X30 mobile phone, which was priced at RMB 2,999 on Pingtong Street at that time. Although the Moto X40 released yesterday failed to become the first model of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Motorola still topped the market with ultra-cheap pricing.
Affordable flagship as a selling point
The body design of the Moto X40 is relatively mediocre. The official selling point is the narrow frame and four-sided curved surface. The body is 8.59mm thick and weighs 199g. It has an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating. The Moto X40 is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED screen, FHD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, using a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The front selfie lens is 60MP, and the three-lens camera on the back is a 50MP OIS main camera, 50MP ultra-wide-angle and 12MP double-zoom portrait lens.
Four Configuration Options
The Moto X40 has a built-in 4,600mAh battery that supports 125W wired, 15W wireless charging, and 15W reverse power supply. The Moto X40 has a black and powder blue body, with 8 + 128, 8 + 256, 12 + 256 and 12 + 512 four configurations, priced at 3,399, 3,699, 3,999 and 4,299 yuan (equivalent to HK$3,790, $4,125, $4,459 and $4,794), the pre-sale starts now in China, and the overseas market is expected to be renamed and launched next year.
