In the first six months of 2024, the location agency Business Upper Austria was able to successfully establish 36 companies in Upper Austria. With an investment volume of 350 million euros, 786 jobs were created. This is according to a press release by State Councilor for Economic Affairs Markus Achleitner (VP).
There are two examples from the logistics sector: In Ennshafen near Linz, the project developer Panattoni is building 40,000 square meters of operational space. In Asten, ASC Logistics is building a new headquarters. The logistics terminal is scheduled to go into operation in January 2025 and will create 130 jobs.
In addition, more than 500 settlement projects are currently being discussed. Almost 22 percent of these are companies that want to settle in Upper Austria for the first time. “Investors have confidence in Upper Austria as an attractive, strong business location,” said the state councilor.
