35 pawns for Steph, 29 for Klay!

It was surely the best game of the night on paper, and it did not disappoint. This Warriors-Raptors looking like the 2019 Finals will have offered its share of suspense, with Splash Bros in vintage mode. 35 points and 11 assists for Stephen Curry, 29 points for Klay Thompson, and victory for Golden State!

Feeling – a bit – in 2016… The Splash Bros gave us an old-school game last night and carried the entire San Francisco Bay area to a victory that feels good. In a game that was close almost to the end, the two teams went blow for blow. If the Raptors had an eight-point lead at the start of the second quarter, the Dubs did what was necessary to come back, around a Klay Thompson of the big nights.

The full-back put out a very solid game. 29 points at 11/24 (46%) shooting, all with 8 rebounds, Klay especially allowed the Warriors to stay in the game and not sink in the first half. Present in defense, confident and skilful behind the arc, Thompson did almost everything well last night and took the reins of his team, while waiting for the boss.

Because yes in money-time, the boss was him: Stephen Curry. The Chief wasn’t sharp in the first act, but woke up for the second. 35 points (62% shooting), 11 assists and 7 rebounds. Aggressive towards the circle, involved on both sides of the field, and clutch at will, Baby Face Assassin took some big shots late in the game to wish the Canadians good night. In a Chase Center on fire, the number 30 was untouchable in the last minutes… and that includes the little choreos to blow up the opponent.

In the absence of Andrew Wiggins, put to rest, the X factors are called Jonathan Kuminga, 15 points and Donte DiVincenzo, 12 points. The roles players stayed in what they know how to do – namely to bring impact off the bench – and did it well.

The Splash Bros who show the way to an involved and empowered group around them, it wins games. And damn it, what a pleasure to see the two zozos light up at three points like crazy!
