35-day Sabarimala pilgrimage leaves 23 dead due to heart attack; 106 people were hospitalized due to heart problems

Sabarimala: Reportedly, 23 people died due to heart attack in Sabarimala during Mandal period this year. 106 people were admitted to hospital in Pampa due to heart related health problems. Experts say that these may be related to post-covid problems.

More people felt unwell at Neelimala and Apachimedu. 24 people died in 35 days. 23 of them died due to heart attacks. The cardio centers between Pampa and Sannidhanam have only oxygen cylinders.
