From 343 Industries they are working on bringing back the popular demo that Halo 2 had at E3 in 2003 and that never saw the light. The developer is recreating the demo shown at the distant video game fairs as part of a The Master Chief Collection project.
It should be remembered that the demo did not reach the final version of Halo 2, and as explained throughthe Halo blog, this will be playable for the first time as part of the Digsite project, which also seeks to bring back original content from Halo: Combat Evolved.
“We are working on a reconstruction of the original E3 stage, Earthcity that makes it playable in Halo 2.”they mention, adding that “this is not a trivial process” and it represents several difficulties trying to bring this demo of an engine that no longer exists to the game.
With this, it is that this project will add a number of assets to the game, including models, vehicles, NPCs, and weapons to the game.
From 343 Industries, they seek to bring this to all versions of The Master Chief Collection, however they point out that “cannot make promises” regarding its availability on consoles.
