30 of them were dealt with directly, in their initial stage, while the fire brigade is dealing with two more. Local investigative offices, as well as Divisions of the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes (D.A.E.E.) are investigating the causes of the fires.
At the same time, according to an announcement by the Fire Brigade, administrative fines were imposed in Larissa, Kozani, Achaia, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Rodopi and Xanthi.
In detail:
– An administrative fine of 1093.75 Euros was imposed, on September 29, 2024, by investigative officers of the P.Y. of Larissa, in a rural area, who burned crop residues within an agricultural area, in violation of existing legislation, in the area of Mandias, of the Municipality of Larissa, in Larissa.
– An administrative fine of 1,125.87 Euros was imposed, yesterday 02 October 2024, by investigative officers of the P.Y. Kozanis, in the countryside, who burned crop residues within an agricultural area, in violation of the existing legislation, in the Postal Code. Krokou, of the Municipality of Kozani, in Kozani.
– An administrative fine of 2,250 Euros was imposed, yesterday, October 2, 2024, by investigative officers of the DIPYN. Achaias, in a locality, who burned crop residues within an agricultural area, in violation of the existing legislation, in T.K. Moirali of the Municipality of Erymanthos, in Achaia.
– An administrative fine of 2,250 Euros was imposed, yesterday, October 2, 2024, by investigative officers of the P.Y. Zakynthos, to a foreigner, who burned waste within a plot of land, in violation of the existing legislation, in P.K. Agios Sostis, on the island of Zakynthos.
– An administrative fine of 1687.50 Euros was imposed, today 03 October 2024, by investigative officers of the DIPYN. Dodecanese, in a country, who burned crop residues in an outdoor area, in violation of the current legislation, in the location “Agios Christoforos”, on the island of Rhodes.
– An administrative fine of 1,500 Euro was imposed, today 03 October 2024, by investigative officers of the DIPYN. Rhodopis in the countryside, who burned crop residues within a plot of land, in violation of the current legislation, in the area of Thamna, of the Municipality of Iasmos, in Rodopi.
– An administrative fine of 1,500 Euro was imposed, today 03 October 2024, by investigative officers of the P.Y. VI.P.E. Komotinis in the countryside, who deposited flammable materials within a forest area, in violation of the current legislation, in the Municipality of Topiros, in Xanthi.
