31,600 pilgrims from Malaysia for Hajj; Saudi aims to cut the cost of pilgrims

Riyadh: Saudi Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq Al Rabia said that 31,600 pilgrims will arrive from Malaysia to perform Hajj. This year is the highest post-Covid increase in the number of pilgrims arriving from Malaysia. Alrabia explained this in a press conference held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital, during his visit to Malaysia. On the direct instructions of the Saudi Crown Prince, representatives of several government institutions are also accompanying Al Arabiya on his visit to Malaysia.

The Saudi Hajj and Umrah Minister explained several new services that are sufficient to facilitate the performance of Hajj rituals. Insurance rates were cut by seventy-two percent. Alrabia pointed out that the aim is to cut costs for pilgrims by promoting healthy competition among companies providing Hajj services.

The minister added that such measures by the Saudi government will improve the quality of services. Al Rabia also pointed out that the requirement to have a blood-related male guardian to perform the rituals of female pilgrims was removed. Saudi Minister Al Rabia also stated that the services of Saudi Arabia have helped to facilitate the arrival of regarding three lakh Hajj pilgrims in Mecca and Medina.
