Notice to nostalgics! Ubisoft has announced the launch of an application that will bring back memories to some. Adibou signs its return to iOS and Android this Thursday. Intended for children aged 4 to 7, it uses the codes of the star educational game of the 1990s, but with a touch of modernity.
The most nostalgic exulted at the announcement of the return of one of the most famous heroes of their childhood at the end of 2021. Adibou makes its appearance on smartphone and tablet this Thursday. Nearly 30 years later, it has hardly changed.
For young people in their thirties or those who are close to it, it is a certain Proust madeleine. Adibou, the little extra-terrestrial in the red cap and surrounded by his friends, rocked their education thanks to PC/console games and educational TV programs. Acquired by Ubisoft ten years ago, the license created by Coktel Vision has returned to the forefront thanks to the children of the co-creator of Adibou, Manon, Thibaut and Hugo Oskian, who proposed to Yves Guillemot to reconnect with the adventures of the hero.

In partnership with the company Wiloki, set up by the three children, Ubisoft has therefore brought Adibou back to life in an iOS and Android mobile application intended for children aged 4 to 7.
The perfect remake for nostalgics
And Adibou the application relies on the affect that made the success of the game of yesteryear. You can find all the Adibou codes there. The character has been modernized in 3D and has a smile taped to his face and still his little pointed ears under his cap. He even still has the same voice and his environment remains colourful, joyful and lively. His friends Plop the dog, the strange Bouzigouloum or the bee are also there.
In the world of Adibou, following having created his profile according to his age, the child will therefore be able to walk around the house, the vegetable garden or the garden, go to the mathematics room and become familiar with learning numbers. and logic through different little games. He can do the same with letters, or listen to stories (The Pyramids of Egypt, The First Steps on the Moon, Robin Hood, Little Red Riding Hood, etc.), watch videos regarding Adibou or learn regarding different games that appeal as much to their logic as to their memory or dexterity (Memory, Casse-briques, etc.).
A multitude of activities to appeal to creativity and logic
Each activity is adapted to their age and three levels are offered to follow their progress. The very short mini-game format will delight them and the thumbs up validates the results, an element now well identified by the very young. The game also involves logic in the minds of young players. Growing wheat in the vegetable garden will feed the birds on the roost. To make the cakes, it will also be necessary to collect fruits and vegetables, but also to collect honey thanks to the bees.
Any progress is rewarded with stars which are listed in the tree to follow the evolution of the child’s learning. The game aims to appeal to the logic and creativity of the players.
With the return of the most famous educational companion of the youngest, Ubisoft opens the door to a buoyant market, that of learning through digital technology. A ground on which recently ventured Powerz, an educational game worn by former members of Shadow, which wants to facilitate the learning of languages, French or even mathematics for children from 6 years old. Or just following Adibou, but relying on the same springs: learning more easily and intuitively in a joyful and playful environment.
Pricing and availability of the Adibou app
The Adibou application is available on iOS and Android at a price of 9.99 euros. For that price, the full game is downloaded, with no possible in-app purchase or displayed .
Content reminiscent of the original Adibou games and something to occupy the youngest for a while (and the older ones who want to reconnect with their tender years too).
