This Tuesday morning, VTR denounced a new intentional fiber optic cut in the capital, the one that keeps thousands of customers from different communes without service.
“30,000 customers are without fiber optic services due to saw-cut vandalism. We are sorry for the inconvenience,” said VTR through its social networks.

The company explained that the communes affected by the cut in service are Maipú, Central Station, Lo Prado, Peñaflor, Padre Hurtado, Pudahuel and Melipilla.

VTR assured that the company’s technicians They are already working on the ground to reestablish the service., which might happen within the next few hours.
From the Undersecretary of Telecommunications (Subtel) they confirmed that there are 30 thousand affected users. They also detailed that they are monitoring the situation.
