30 scholarships for young high school graduates –

In a press release published this Friday, the Ogooué Mining Company (COMILOG), a subsidiary of the ERAMET group, announces the provision, free of charge, of thirty (30) scholarships for the benefit of Gabonese high school graduates for the academic year 2024-2025. These scholarships, which are part of the program called ”YAM’NA” which means “solidarity/mutual aid” in the Nzébi language, entirely funded by the company, aims to facilitate access to higher education for Gabonese high school graduates with high potential and from modest backgrounds; while supporting the government’s efforts in education and training, we read.

According to the press release, these scholarships, the call for applications for which will be launched in the coming days, are aimed at: “to young high school graduates throughout the country, allowing them to pursue higher education, up to Bachelor’s level, in the best establishments in the country. The course covers the scientific and literary fields”specifies the said press release.

For COMILOG, these scholarships will contribute not only to the social integration of deserving young Gabonese women and men, but also to the emergence of a new model of social development, based on equal opportunities and excellence.

The Program ”YAM’NA” COMILOG pursues a dual objective. It firstly encourages academic excellence by offering the best Gabonese high school graduates the opportunity to follow a high-level course in higher education, within the best institutions in the country and promote.

It is then intended to promote social equity, by ensuring quality education for all young Gabonese people, particularly those from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, to enable them to succeed in their life projects and actively contribute to the development of society.
