PT Jasa Marga revealed that an accident had occurred at KM 58 + 600 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road on Monday (8/4) at 07.04 WIB. After receiving the information, Jasa Marga officers and the police immediately went to the scene and carried out an evacuation.
Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Amri Sanusi said that the accident involved three vehicles, namely the Daihatsu GrandMax (KR1), Daihatsu Terios (KR2), and Big Bus (KR3). However, the number of victims as a result of the accident was not stated.
“Until this news was released at 10.00 WIB, the chronology of the incident was still being handled by the police,” said Amri in an official statement, Monday.
Jasa Marga officers are also still coordinating with the police in handling and evacuating the incident. It has been observed that until now, vehicle traffic conditions on the Japek Toll Road towards Cikampek were congested ahead of the incident location. Officers continue to try to carry out the lane normalization process.
Amri explained that temporarily the Contraflow lanes KM 48 to KM 70 towards Cikampek, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, were closed at the discretion of the Police.
“PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this incident,” he said.
He appealed to road users to always be careful. Make sure the vehicle is in roadworthy condition. If tired, drivers are asked to rest in the place provided. (Z-11)
