3 Pakistanis too, included in the list of 2% of world’s eminent scientists

The prestigious Stanford University of America recently released a list of 2% of the world’s most prominent scientists.

This list of 1 lakh 59 thousand 683 people also includes 3 Pakistani scientists who belong to Punjab University.

The Pakistani researchers included in this list include Dr. Khalid Mehmood, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences of Punjab University, Dr. Muhammad Sharif, Dean of the Faculty of Sign and Dr. Muhammad Akram of the Department of Mathematics.

The list includes the most cited scientists in each field of science and is supported by statistics from the database Scopes, which compiles journal data.

The top 2 percent of scientists to be included in this list was determined based on citations, including citation statistics, the H-index, and others.

The results of this research were published in the journal PLoS Biology and the report classified 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields.

Dr. Khalid Mehmood, who was included in this list, while talking to Independent Urdu, said that it is a great honor for him and other colleagues to be selected despite millions of papers in international research.

He said that the research papers of 81 professors of Pakistani universities were included in this list.

He said that by joining this list, the global ranking of our universities will also improve.
