3 million Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the crisis

About 3 million people have fled Ukraine since the start of Russian military operations in Ukraine on February 24, according to figures published by the International Organization for Migration on Tuesday.

And the International Organization for Migration revealed that half of these refugees are children with their parents or without an accompanying person.

The UNHCR counted as many as 2,969,600 Ukrainian refugees on its website, which is usually updated at midday.

The difference between the two numbers is due to different counting methods, as the International Organization for Migration also takes into account the approximately 157,000 refugees who have fled Ukraine who are nationals of other countries.

According to statistics, Poland alone receives more than half of the total refugees who have fled since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, that is, regarding 6 out of 10 refugees.
