3 Japanese car manufacturers are declining in production in China .. What is the reason?

The 3 largest Japanese automakers suffered a decline in production in China by more than 10% in April, confirming the damage of the closures related to the fight against the Corona virus in Shanghai to factories in the largest car producer in the world.

According to “Bloomberg” news agency, Honda announced today, Monday, that its production declined by 81% last month, on an annual basis.

The production of Toyota and Nissan decreased by 34% and 51%, respectively.

Although Shanghai is about to drop a slew of restrictions to support local manufacturers and revitalize an economy hit by coronavirus-related shutdowns, Japanese automakers’ April data highlights how much companies have struggled to produce in China over the past two months.

And the announcement of Shanghai-related production cuts continues, confirming continued supply chain bottlenecks even as businesses begin to reopen in the city.
