3 injured in rear-end collision in Innviertel

It all started with a technical defect. A 20-year-old farmer from the Ried im Innkreis district therefore had to bring his tractor to a standstill on the B148 in the Mörschwang municipality (Ried district). Two cars coming behind stopped. The 58-year-old German driver of a small truck probably noticed the stationary vehicles too late and crashed into the car in front of him. Due to the force of the impact, the car of a 70-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district was catapulted into the embankment. The small truck came to a stop in the oncoming lane. The 70-year-old driver and her 69-year-old passenger from the Linz-Land district suffered unspecified injuries in the collision. They were taken to hospital by ambulance. The driver of the small truck suffered a minor injury and refused to ride with the rescue team.
