3 dead, including a child, and 11 injured in a terrible pileup on the A1

A very serious road accident occurred this Saturday, December 24 around 8:10 p.m. on the A1, in the Lille – Paris direction, between exit 13.1 (Albert – Péronne) and exit 13 (Amiens – Saint-Quentin axis) , near the town of Herbécourt, write our colleagues from Courrier Picard.

According to initial findings, three vehicles collided very hard, coming to a stop on the right and left lanes. In one of the vehicles, there are three people dead, including a child, and two injured.

In a second vehicle, two people were injured. In the third, a minivan, according to the first elements, the relief took care of seven wounded.

The injured were taken to hospitals in the area.

Very significant resources have been mobilized, from all over the east of the department (Péronne, Moislains, Rosières-en-Santerre, Roye, Ham, Bray-sur-Somme, Bapaume, in Pas-de-Calais), as well as of the staff in Amiens, and three SAMU teams including those of Péronne and Amiens. The NOVI plan (many victims) would have been triggered and the departmental director of firefighters went to the site.
