Three BPK members Patrice Lumumba Sihombing, Abu Hanifa Siata, and David Pata Saung were immediately tried following the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) completed the files on bribe recipients in the case of conditioning the audit of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in Sorong.
“The prosecutor’s team has finished handing over the case files and the indictment of the defendant Patrice Lumumba Sihombing et al as the party who received the bribe,” said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement, Thursday (21/3).
The Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s News Department said that the three people would be tried at the Corruption Court at the Manokwari District Court. Prosecutors now have no authority to detain them.
“The detention status of the defendants has shifted to the authority of the Corruption Court,” said Ali.
The KPK is now just waiting for their first trial schedule. The decision is determined by the panel of judges.
“Next, we are still waiting to determine the court date for the reading of the indictment,” said Ali. (Z-3)
