3.3 million refugees and 10 million displaced due to UN war in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has displaced 10 million people, of which 3.3 million have moved abroad, the UN refugee agency representative said.

Filippo Grandi, head of the Refugee Agency, tweeted on the 20th (local time), “War always accompanies the suffering of civilians who have to leave their homeland. moved to,” he said.

Refugees who migrated abroad mainly went to Poland, and in addition to Poland, many are also going to Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and Slovakia.

The United Nations estimates that regarding 4 million refugees will be displaced.

In addition to refugees, the number of citizens who have left their hometowns and are wandering in Korea has surpassed 10 million, the UN estimates. Ukraine’s population is regarding 43 million. About a quarter of the population has lost their homeland.

The UN also estimates that at least 902 civilians have been killed, including 75 children, since Russian forces began their invasion of Ukraine.
