WTOP meteorologist Mike Stinneford predicts another 1 to 3 inches of accumulation before midnight,potentially pushing the total snowfall to 6 to 11 inches.”It looks like it’s going to be about 6 to 10, 6 to 11 for the entire storm across the region,” Stinneford stated.He added that snow should taper off around midnight.

If the D.C. area receives 11 inches, it would be the largest snowfall in nearly a decade, rivaling the 17.8 inches that fell on January 23, 2016. “the last time we had 11 inches was on Jan.23 of 2016. … That storm ended the following day,” said Johnson.
