The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) organized from June 26 to 29, 2023, at the University of Douala (Cameroon), the 2nd edition of the inter-regional final (Southern Africa and Indian Ocean, Central Africa and Great Lakes and West Africa) of the student entrepreneurship competition “My idea, my business”.
After two (02) days of discussions between the twenty (20) candidates and the jury composed of:
EBE EVINA Jean-Claude, financial expert, Cameroon NDEUNA TCHOUMENI Carine Diane, Entrepreneur and expert in youth entrepreneurship, Cameroon GAHN Elhadji Ahm Demba Ba, Regional Director business advisory services at USAID, Senegal AKOBE DETCHIO Annick Andrée Spouse AKOMIAN, Coach, mentor and entrepreneurship trainer, Ivory Coast ONDOA Joseph, Sponsorship Officer at the Orange Foundation, Cameroon
And at the end of the deliberations, the three (03) winners of the inter-regional final of the 2nd edition of the inter-regional competition “My idea, my business” are:
Prize for the best business idea – Three thousand (3000) euros : Mr. LOLO-NDONGA Jolidon Sadok, University of Bangui (Central African Republic), project leader Intensification of agriculture through the production and marketing of natural fertilizers ;
Prize for the best female innovation – Two thousand (2000) euros : Ms. MBEKI Elie, University of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), project leader The Flower Spice ;
Prize for the best green innovation – Two thousand (2000) euros : M. HENRAGE Kevin, University of Mauritius, project leader Ecolozik: sustainable packaging solutions for the clothing industry.
Their prizes were awarded during the closing ceremony chaired on June 29, 2023 at the IUT of Douala by the representative of the Rector of the University of Douala, Prof. Guillaume EKAMBI DIBONGUE, Vice-Rector in charge of Research, Cooperation and Relations with the Business World.
The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) congratulates the winners of this edition and invites students to participate massively in the 3rd edition which will take place in 2024.
