29-year-old killed in Vienna-Meidling: husband arrested in Berlin

The husband (31), who had been wanted since the bodies were found on Thursday morning, was caught that evening at the airport in the German capital Berlin, the Vienna police reported on Friday. From the outset, investigators assumed it was a homicide, with the main suspect being the partner, who had apparently gone into hiding.

The police were contacted by the woman’s relatives, who reported an argument between the couple and were worried when they could no longer reach the Afghan-born woman. On Thursday at 9:20 a.m. the door to the locked apartment was opened. There the police found the dead woman, who had stab wounds to her chest and neck.
