[Shanghai 14th Archyde.com]–The number of new coronavirus-infected persons newly confirmed on the 14th in Shanghai, China, reached a record high of regarding 27,000. Regulations have been relaxed this week in some areas, but most remain blocked.
The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention released guidelines on home isolation on the 13th, raising expectations that the current regulations that require isolation in dedicated facilities even if asymptomatic will be relaxed.
However, in response to questions from SNS (Internet Exchange Service) users regarding those who are subject to home quarantine, the center referred to conventional regulations. Shanghai city officials also made no statement at the press conference on the 14th, suggesting a change in policy.
Of the top 100 cities in China’s gross domestic product (GDP), 87 are implementing some quarantine measures, according to a survey by Gabecal Dragonomics on the 7th.
Jilin provincial officials said on the 14th that the measures implemented from mid-March were successful and the infection in the area was suppressed.
On the other hand, in Shenzhen, the infection was thought to have subsided, but there are signs of a re-emergence. On the 14th, 21 newly infected persons including 13 asymptomatic persons were confirmed, which was the highest level since March 21st.
