The fire broke out in a room around 1 a.m. and spread quickly. Due to the heavy smoke, it was impossible for hotel guests to escape via the stairwell.

While the fire brigade carried out the first extinguishing attacks via the main entrance, the holidaymakers who had fled to the balconies were brought to safety at the same time. In order to ensure that no one was left behind in the building, the security forces established the identities of all those rescued and the fire department searched the fire department. According to police, the damage to the building is extensive. A large number of emergency services were on site. The municipal road was closed while the fire was being extinguished.
