Serbian superstar Nikola Jokic has signed a five-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets for a record fee.
According to media reports, the 27-year-old, who was voted the most valuable NBA player twice in a row, collects around 264 million US dollars for the mega deal – it is the largest contract in NBA history.
Beal and Booker also clear up
Devin Booker is also to receive a Supermax contract with the Phoenix Suns, where the club also drew the so-called “Designated Veteran Player Extension”. The Suns are reportedly putting $215 million on the table for the new four-year deal. Bradley Beal signed a five-year, $251 million contract with the Washington Wizards to kick off free agency.
Meanwhile, Germany international Isaiah Hartenstein is likely to change teams. From the Los Angeles Clippers he is drawn to the New York Knicks, where Hartenstein is said to collect around $ 16.3 million for two years. Jalen Brunson will probably also join the Knicks. The Dallas Mavericks superstar is set to receive $104 million for his four-year deal.
