An Open Astra and a Ford Focus collided on a bend in Esen. The toll is heavy: a 26-year-old man died and a 40-year-old was seriously injured. “When we arrived, we found a man lying on the ground next to his car,” a firefighter told the Nieuwsblad.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident. Firefighters, an ambulance, and an SMUR were also dispatched to the scene. The 40-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition.
