The signing ceremony took place at the end of the Commission’s work, in the presence of the Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, the Head of the Tunisian Government, Mr. Ahmed Hachani and members of the governments of the two countries.
In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf and his counterpart the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, signed conventions and cooperation protocols in the sectors of mujahideen, national education, professional training and social affairs.
In the mujahideen sector, a cooperation protocol was signed regarding the care of mujahideen and beneficiaries. As for the education sector, this is a framework agreement on educational research between the National Institute for Educational Research (INRE) of Algeria and the International Center for Training of Trainers and educational innovation (CIFFIP) from Tunisia.
In the vocational training sector, a cooperation protocol was signed in this area, in addition to a twinning agreement between the National Institute specializing in graphic arts and industries (INSIAG) and the Sectoral Training Center in Graphic Arts from Tunisia.
Mr. Attaf and his Tunisian counterpart also signed a cooperation agreement in the fields of culture, youth and sports, as well as a cooperation protocol in the fields of housing, urban planning and city development, and in the field of digital transition.
Concerning the social affairs sector, an executive program of the cooperation agreement in the field of social care for the years 2024-2026 was signed by Mr. Attaf and the Tunisian Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Ezzahi.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed for the creation of a bilateral commission for the promotion and development of border regions, by the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, Brahim Merad, of Algerian side, and the Tunisian Minister of the Interior, Kamel Feki.
In the field of trade, two conventions were signed by the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, and the Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Ms. Keltoum Ben Rejeb, the first relating to an executive program in the field of consumer protection and quality control of goods and services for 2024-2025, and the second convention in the field of mutual recognition of certificates of conformity.
In the transport sector, a cooperation agreement was signed in the field of logistics and multimodal transport, by the Minister of Transport, Youcef Cherfa, and his Tunisian counterpart, Rabie Majidi.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed in the field of tourism, in addition to an executive program of the cooperation agreement in the field of crafts for 2024-2025 by the Minister of Tourism and Crafts, Mokhtar Didouche, and the Tunisian Minister of Tourism, Mohamed Moez Belhassine.
In the labor sector, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Fayçal Bentaleb, and the Tunisian Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Ezzahi, signed three twinning agreements.
These are three twinning agreements signed between the Higher School of Social Security (ESSS) and the National Institute of Labor and Social Studies of Tunis, the National Institute of Occupational Risk Prevention of Algiers and the Institute of Health and Safety at Work in Tunis and the National Labor Institute of Algiers and the National Institute of Labor and Social Studies of Tunis.
In the industrial sector, three conventions were signed, the first concerns the executive program of the cooperation protocol in the field of metrology between the National Office of Legal Metrology of Algiers (ONML) and the Tunisian Central Laboratory of analyzes and tests for the years 2024-2026, signed respectively by the directors general of the two organizations, Rabah Messili and Anouar Zouari.
The second concerns a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation between the Algerian Institute of Standardization (IANOR) and the Tunisian National Institute of Standardization and Industrial Property, signed by the Director General of IANOR, Djamel Hales and his Tunisian counterpart, Nafaa Boutiti.
And the third agreement concerns an executive program of cooperation protocol for 2024-2026 signed between the Director General of the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), Abdelhafid Belmehdi and the Director General of the Tunisian National Institute of Standardization and industrial property, Nafaa Boutiti.
In the transport sector, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the port of Annaba and that of Rades was signed between the CEO of the Algiers Port Services (SERPORT) group, Mohamed Karim Eddine Herkati and his Tunisian counterpart from the ‘Tunisian Office of Merchant Marine and Ports, Fouad Othman.
Another memorandum of understanding was signed between the Algerian National Meteorological Office and its Tunisian counterpart on technical and scientific cooperation, by the Director General of the Algerian Office, Ibrahim Ihedaden and his counterpart, Ahmed Hamam.
Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding between the National Maritime School (ENSM) and the Mediterranean Maritime Training Institute was signed by the CEO of the School, Azzedine Karma and his Tunisian counterpart, Wissem Gaida Mahjoub .
A memorandum of cooperation between the Algerian National Agency for the Promotion and Rationalization of Energy Use (APRUE), and the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME), was signed by the director Algerian general, Merouane Chaabane, and his Tunisian counterpart Fethi Hanchi.
In the field of investment, a memorandum of understanding between the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) and the Tunisian investment authority was signed by the Director General of the Agency, Omar Rekkache, and the president of the Tunisian body, Namia Ayadi.
The Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane and the head of the Tunisian government, Ahmed Hachani signed the minutes of the Grand Mixed Algerian-Tunisian Cooperation Commission.
