LH Deputy Landbauer: Highlight of the running season with comfortable travel to and from the start, finish and relay stations with the Wachaubahn

St.Pölten (OTS) On September 17th, the most well-known sporting event in the Wachau, the Wachaumarathon, will take place for the 24th time. “The Wachaumarathon is a highlight of the running season and attracts thousands of families and sports enthusiasts from near and far to the region year following year. The Wachaubahn is on the road on this day in the special timetable and takes athletes and fans comfortably and stress-free to the start, finish and relay stations of the competitions,” informs LH deputy Udo Landbauer.

The managing director of Niederösterreich Bahnen, Barbara Komarek, adds: “For car-free and climate-friendly arrival and departure, special trains between Krems, Spitz and Emmersdorf are available all day on the day of the event, which can be used free of charge. The trains for runners and guests in the World Heritage Site are already on the move from 7:40 a.m..”
