Gaza – 24 Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Saturday in Israeli airstrikes targeting residential homes and tents of displaced people in the north, center and south of the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli army continues to blow up residential buildings in the city of Rafah.
A source at Nasser Medical Complex told Anadolu Agency that “the bodies of 11 martyrs, including children and women, and an unspecified number of wounded, arrived as a result of an Israeli drone bombing of the ‘Kalakh’ family home in the Al-Amal neighbourhood,” west of Khan Yunis (south).
Eyewitnesses told the Anadolu Agency correspondent that “Israeli warplanes bombed the house of the Ma’rouf family in the vicinity of the Halima Mosque, south of Khan Yunis, without causing any injuries.”
Witnesses added that Israeli military vehicles fired artillery shells intensively at the vicinity of Al-Islam Mosque near Al-Tahlia, east of Khan Yunis, while heavy gunfire was fired at the vicinity of Dar Al-Salam Hospital, east of the city.
Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that “a martyr and three injuries arrived at the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital, as a result of gunfire from Israeli vehicles towards tents for displaced people on Street 5, west of Khan Yunis.”
The Civil Defense in Gaza also announced, in a statement, the killing of 5 Palestinians as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted a motorcycle (tuk-tuk) in the Al-Katiba area in Khan Yunis.
In Rafah (south), Israeli army forces continued to blow up residential buildings in the west of the city, accompanied by intermittent artillery shelling targeting the western and northwestern areas, according to a local source for Anadolu.
In the central Gaza Strip, 3 Palestinians were killed and others were injured (without mentioning a number) when an Israeli drone bombed a residential apartment in the Ain Jalut Towers in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to a medical source for Anadolu.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army launched intensive air and artillery strikes east of Deir al-Balah city amid continuous gunfire, and targeted the home of the “al-Taban” family east of the city, as well as the al-Hakr area and Salah al-Din Street.
Three Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone bombed a school housing displaced people north of the Nuseirat camp, according to medics who spoke to Anadolu Agency.
For his part, the Civil Defense in Gaza announced in a statement that 4 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombardment that targeted a residential apartment in the Nuseirat camp, without mentioning further details.
In Gaza City, the Israeli army continues intensive air and artillery bombardment of the Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods in the south of the city, according to eyewitnesses.
