The Mayor’s Office of Medellín is preparing to begin the Altavoz 2024 auditions, with the participation of 239 groups that will seek to be part of the Ciudad Altavoz concerts in June.
The new director of Altavoz Fest is Carolina Rojas Posada, who will lead this important cultural initiative in the city.
The auditions will take place on May 18, 19, 25 and 26 at the Pedregal open-air theater and at the Carlos Vieco theater, with free admission for the public.
This process is part of the second phase of the Speaker program.
Which began with registration and validation in the Call for Promotion and Stimuli for Art and Culture 2024.

Each participating group will have 10 minutes to present themselves, and will be evaluated by expert juries in media, music and production.
Of the 239 groups, 70 projects will be selected for the Ciudad Altavoz concerts in June.
Subsequently, the 28 proposals will be chosen for the 2024 Altavoz Festival.
The appointment of Carolina Rojas Posada as director of Altavoz Fest has been received with enthusiasm.
