A 23-year-old man was seriously injured when he fell from a carnival float in Balsthal on Saturday. The car was on the way back from a move. The injured man was flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.
The accident occurred shortly following 5 p.m. on St. Wolfgangstrasse. The exact course of events was initially unclear and was being clarified, as the Solothurn cantonal police announced on Sunday. The carnival float was pulled by a tractor.
