Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Ministry of Education prevented 23 drinks and foodstuffs from being supplied to school canteens, in an effort to enhance the preventive health and safety of male and female students, and to emphasize the supply of foodstuffs of nutritional value that benefit students.

The items that are prohibited to be imported to schools included: soft drinks and energy drinks, milk and yogurt with artificial flavors, fried falafel, chips and high-heat boiled materials, sticky sugars, made up of dyes, mayonnaise, croissants of all kinds, peanuts for the primary stage, and chocolate of all kinds, or What is covered with chocolate, pickles.

The ministry also called on all education departments to supply foodstuffs that have nutritional value that benefit male and female students, including dates, dried fruits, sandwiches and pies containing cheese and labneh, honey, butter and chickpeas, and popular dishes whose main ingredients are grains, such as wheat and rice. Wheat, corn, milk, hot milk and 100% natural juices, without glass containers.
