In the next three months, the Albanian government will issue regarding ALL 84 billion bonds and bonds.
Referring to the calendar published by the Ministry of Finance, 7 auctions of bonds and bonds of 3, 6 and 12 months are scheduled to take place in July. It is also planned to issue 10-year bonds and reopen 5-year bonds. In total, for the month of July, the value of auctions reaches ALL 24.5 billion.
In August, 6 auctions with a total value of 30 billion ALL are planned, while in September 8 auctions with a total value of 29.4 billion ALL are planned.
In addition to these auctions, two more auctions are planned in July and September for the buyback of long-term bonds maturing in 2023.
These auctions are part of the government’s new strategy to follow the practice of buying back and ahead of time some long-term bonds that mature next year, in order to benefit from better interests in conditions where revenues in the state treasury have increased. as a result of the price increase.
The aim in this case is to reduce the debt pressure in the domestic market and to focus on long-term bonds in order to improve the quality of Albania’s public debt.
