Vienna (OTS) – On Wagramer Strasse in the section between Sebaldgasse and Aderklaaer Strasse, a further gap in the main cycle network will be closed by the construction of a structurally separate two-way cycle path. On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, the City of Vienna – Road Administration and Road Construction will start construction work.
Details
On the odd-numbered side of Wagramer Strasse, a new, roughly 500-metre-long, structurally separated two-way cycle path is being built in the section between Sebaldgasse and Aderklaaer Strasse.
Traffic measures May and June 2023
During the morning traffic peak from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., both lanes of traffic are available for vehicle traffic going in the direction of the city centre. Outside of this time window, the right lane is closed in the respective construction area. The Sebaldgasse between Wagramer Straße and Panethgasse will be closed to traffic for a period of around four weeks. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
Traffic measures July and August 2023
In principle, the work in the respective construction area is carried out while keeping a lane of the Wagramer Straße leading into the city center free. On Mondays, during the morning traffic peak between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., both lanes are available for traffic. For a period of around two weeks, Martin-Gaunersdorfer Gasse will run from Aderklaaer Straße to and in the direction of Wagramer Straße as a provisional one-way street. The diversion leads via Wagramer Straße and Sebaldgasse to Aderklaaer Straße. At the Wagramer Straße/Lieblgasse intersection, the straight-ahead lane leading out of town on Wagramer Straße will probably be closed for four weekends. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.
- Location of the construction site: 22nd Wagramer Straße between Sebaldgasse and Aderklaaer Straße
- Start of construction: May 23, 2023
- Planned end of construction: August 18, 2023
