Vienna (OTS) – On Monday, July 10, 2023, the City of Vienna – Road Administration and Road Construction will begin the renovation of the Gerasdorfer Straße/Illgasse/Grenzweg roundregarding in the 21st district due to damage over time.

The carriageway will be renovated in two construction phases (circular segments), with the free circular segment remaining open for all traffic in both directions. Traffic is channeled through the roundregarding by temporary traffic lights. The connecting branches Grenzweg and Gerasdorfer Straße (Lower Austria side) must remain permanently closed. Traffic will be diverted on a small scale through the adjacent residential area. Heavy traffic will be diverted via Stammersdorfer Strasse, Gerasdorfer Spitz and Seyringer Strasse. The bus stops for line 32A “Illgasse” will be temporarily closed and provisionally relocated to the Illgasse/Kainachgasse intersection.
