Dubai, September 28 / WAM / The activities of the 20th Asian Urology Congress kicked off in Dubai this evening, which Dubai is hosting for the first time in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf in conjunction with the Emirates Urology Association Conference, with the participation of more than 2,500 doctors from 75 countries around the world at the “Conrad” Hotel. Dubai”.

He congratulated Professor David Winkle, President of the Asian Urological Association, on achieving a record in the history of urology conferences, as a result of the great effort made by the Emirates Urological Association in preparing for this major event.

Dr. Abdul Qader Al Zarouni, President of the Emirates Urological Society and Chairman of the Conference, welcomed the hosting of the Asian Conference, which Dubai is hosting for the first time… stressing that the discussions that will be conducted by the doctors participating in the conference, whether through lectures and research or sessions and discussion panels, will produce positive results that will be in the interest of the participating doctors and patients. in general.

For his part, Dr. Yasser Al Saeedi, Vice President of the Emirates Urology Society, indicated that the conference will focus on developing clinical skills and training on the latest technologies and modern devices in all subspecialties in kidney diseases and urology surgeries.

He added that the conference will discuss over three days approximately 1,000 working and research papers, most of which will be reviewed in separate sessions to encourage medical personnel to research and scientific publication, in addition to holding 14 workshops for training, work and practice using the latest modern technologies such as robotics and modern technology in urology.

For his part, Dr. Younis Al-Shamsi, Secretary of the Association, expressed his hope that the conferences would produce results that would benefit all participants in developing their scientific and practical expertise to serve urinary tract disease.

In turn, Dr. Yasser Farhat, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Emirates Medical Association, said that preparing for the conference took five years of effort and time to produce the conference in this way that reflects the reputation and status of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular.
