President Seok-yeol Yoon emphasized, “Quality jobs are not created with the government’s direct finances, but rather by companies and startups, and by a spirit of challenge.”

On the followingnoon of the 23rd, President Yoon attended the ‘2030 Korea Small and Medium Business Conference’ held on the lawn in front of the Yongsan Presidential Office and said, “The government is doing its best to ensure that the market operates fairly and efficiently.”

He continued, “Our company is competent. That’s why we need to jump into the global market more boldly.”

In particular, he said, “When small and medium-sized venture companies grow together with large companies, they will be able to compete with the best quality and innovative products in the global market.” .

Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, said, “When I did a satisfaction survey on the current government’s small and medium-sized business policies, more than 77% answered that they were doing well, and in particular, satisfaction with economic diplomacy rose to 85%.”

In response, President Yoon said, “When I heard that it was 77%, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s the true approval rating.’ Thank you. I will work harder and do better.”

About 500 people attended the event, including heads of nine groups, including Samsung Electronics Chairman Jae-yong Lee, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun, as well as officials from small and medium-sized venture companies.

President Yoon held this event on the lawn in front of the presidential office for the second year in a row following last year and personally attended it.
