2024 WVU Gymnastics Season Home Meets and Ticket Promotions

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The promotional slate and single-meet tickets for the West Virginia University gymnastics team’s 2024 home meets were announced by the WVU Athletics Marketing and Ticket Offices on Tuesday.

The Mountaineers begin their home slate on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m., as they welcome Temple to the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown.

SEASON-LONG PROMOTIONS
Chalk Talk: The WVU gymnastics team will be available for post-meet autographs following the first four home meets of the season (Jan. 7, Jan. 21, Feb 18, March 3).

50 Years of Gymnastics Celebration: The Mountaineers are celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the WVU gymnastics program this season. In recognition of this milestone, West Virginia fans can expect in-meet elements throughout the 2024 season, including Alex Reed appearances and recognitions, recap videos and features, giveaways and so much more.

SINGLE-MEET PROMOTIONS

Sunday, Jan. 7 vs. Temple, 2 p.m. – MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MEET

It’s Mental Health Awareness Day here at WVU Coliseum! Nearly one in five American adults suffer from a mental illness. Community awareness reduces the stigma and increases the chance for treatment or intervention. Help us shine a positive light on mental health and the importance for all ages. Fans are encouraged to visit the concourse for resources and for our special star stress reliever giveaway. It also is our first Mountaineer Kids Club t-shirt pickup day of the season!

Sunday, Jan. 21 vs. Penn, 2 p.m. – 70’s MEET

Time to get your groove on! Our 70’s throwback day is here, with music inspired by the 70’s played throughout the meet! Be sure to arrive early, as the first 250 fans will receive a throwback 70’s-themed poster and a raffle featuring 70’s-inspired prizes. It also is dollar day, with tickets and select concessions on sale for $1!

Sunday, Feb. 18 vs. Denver and Iowa State, 1 p.m. – BEAUTY & THE BEAST/PINK MEET

The timeless classic is back! “Beauty and the Beast” returns as the WVU gymnastics and wrestling teams will compete simultaneously. The wrestling team will face Glenville State, while the gymnastics team will compete once morest Big 12 Conference foes Iowa State and Denver. This meet also will serve as both teams’ cancer awareness meets with a special pink shaker giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, courtesy of the WVU Cancer Institute.

Sunday, March 3 vs. Pitt, Towson and Western Michigan, 2 p.m. – 50 YEAR CELEBRATION/ALUMNI MEET

Celebrate 50 years of Mountaineer Gymnastics with us! It’s also the team’s Alumni Meet, with a special recognition of former WVU gymnasts and members of the program. The first 400 fans will receive a stainless-steel tumbler with the commemorative WVU gymnastics 50-year logo.

Sunday, March 10 vs. Rutgers, 2 p.m. – WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT MEET/SENIOR DAY

Join us as we welcome women working in various fields and occupations for our annual Women’s Empowerment Meet. There will be an activity fair on the concourse prior to the start of the meet, with a special giveaway available for kids who participate in at least five stations. The Mountaineers will recognize seniors Ellen Collins, Kiana Lewis and Abbie Pierson following the conclusion of the meet. It also is Dollar Day, with tickets and select concessions available for $1, and Mountaineer Kids Club Day with special Alex Reed Mr. Twister. MKC members also can pick up their t-shirts at the meet.

In anticipation of the 2024 season, fans can sign up for the Mountaineer Kids Club at WVUsports.com/kidsclub.

Fans can purchase tickets for regular-season home meets by visiting WVUGAME.comcalling 1-800-WVU-GAME or at the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located at the Gold Gate of the WVU Coliseum. All tickets are general admission.

When purchasing online, tickets are $5 each and $3 for groups of 10 or more. At the WVU Coliseum ticket window, tickets will be $7 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors and $3 for groups. The discounted online pricing will be available until the start of the meet. Fans are encouraged to order tickets in advance online at WVUGAME.com to avoid lines at the gate on meet day.
