HIGHLIGHTS

Launched into a magnificent duel once morest Elfyn Evans, former winner in Sweden, Adrien Fourmaux once once more put in a solid performance. Although he is still ahead of the Welshman, the Frenchman only loses a few tenths and maintains a good margin ahead of the Toyota driver.

Points for Saturday are obviously at stake and five kilometers from the finish of this stage, the M-Sport driver is ideally placed to finish second today. Two small points separate second from third place.

As in the previous special, Thierry Neuville set the best time, preparing well for a very important final day.

Since Takamoto Katsuta’s stop, Esapekka Lappi has been on a “quiet” pace and maintains more than a minute ahead of Adrien Fourmaux.

Fifth overall, Oliver Solberg is still well placed in WRC2, still almost a minute ahead of Sami Pajari. The latter remains closely followed by Georg Linnamäe, very interesting this weekend!

PILOT REACTIONS

O. Thank you
13:55.3“The grip is high but there’s no tire to use that grip, so I was just being very gentle to try to get out of it.”K. Rovanperä
13:49.7“This one really wasn’t easy – it’s almost an entirely gravel stage. You have to take a lot of care of the tires. Then maybe 4km into the stage my brakes started to go soft. You go up to 200 km/h and you don’t know if it’s going to brake well or not, it’s not a great feeling. Fortunately, we had brakes at the end. But we need to fix this now.”G.Munster
14:14.3
“The grip is a little better than this morning so we might push a little but the tires had a lot of pressure and temperature, and I had a lot of heat at high speed just because the car was going straight.”T. Neuville
13:46.8
“Conditions are quite different from this morning – lots of dirt. But I actually enjoyed this special.”E.Evans
13:47.8
“He (Fourmaux) drives well that’s for sure. It was a good stage for us, we had to be careful with the tires.”A.Fourmaux
13:48.1
“There were a lot of dirt sections and I tried to save the tires for the last stage. Driving at night in the middle of walls of snow is really special and super fun.”E. Lapland
14:00.3
“It’s almost over, there’s still one left. I tried to save tires all followingnoon while staying smart in terms of pace. We’ll see if we have a few nails left for the last one.”O.Solberg
14:42.1
“There are no more tires. Maybe I was too careful, but there’s plenty of dirt in there. If anyone still has tires, well done!”S. Pajari
14:41.6
“I was hoping to get a bit of a head start on this stage, but shortly following the start I realized it was mostly dirt the whole way, so I tried to be smart, but it was is really, really tricky.”R. Korhonen“It’s very brittle and hard on the tires. I think we killed our tires, it’s not very good!”L.Joona“I think we still have nails for the last one, so that’s pretty good.”
