The Ministry of Education (Minedu) reported that this 2024 there will be a new Teacher Appointment contest for teachers who belong to the Public Teaching Career (CPM). Likewise, he pointed out that teachers who pass the requirements and present the necessary documentation will be able to receive better financial compensation for the work they do in educational centers.
Teachers who apply for the contest will take a test that consists of 66 questions about pedagogical knowledge, according to the specialty they teach. Requirements for the 2024 Teaching Appointment contest
According to the Ministry of Education, the professionals who participate in the promotion competition must be of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh magisterial scale. Likewise, they must “have ethical suitability and the minimum number of years of official services on the teaching scale of the CPM to which they belong.”

Positions for Teaching Appointment
The Minister of Education, Miriam Poncepointed out that in 2024 a total of 20,000 new appointment positions will be enabled so that teachers can be promoted and indicated that his ministerial portfolio has implemented the necessary measures to value the work of teachers, such as salary increases.
