2024 Presidential Election: No Labels Party’s Unity Ticket and Joe Manchin’s Concerns for the Nation

“Let’s see what happens, it’s too early. If I start racing, it will be to win. I’m not here to run for president tonight. I’m here to try to save the nation. I am more worried today than I have ever been in my life. I have three children and ten grandchildren. »

Joe Manchina Democratic senator from West Virginia, speaking Monday evening at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire held by the No Labels party – a first in 2023 for this organization which could present a “unity ticket” on the occasion of the 2024 presidential election. Manchin was joined by former Utah Republican Governor Jon Huntsman.

PS: Nancy Jacobson, co-founder and leader of No Labels, has previously said that the band’s plan is ” an insurance policy in case both major parties field presidential candidates that the vast majority of Americans do not support.” She said the group would not nominate a candidate “if rigorously collected data and polls suggest an independent candidate cannot win.” Many Democrats and observers doubt the sincerity of Jacobson, who refuses to identify No Labels donors, and fear that a self-proclaimed centrist “unity ticket” could pave the way for the election of Donald Trump, if he is a candidate.
