The para-taekwondo Moroccan Rajae Akermach won bronze by winning the 2nd repechage fight against the Brazilian Debora Menezes with a score of 24 to 15.
Akermach lost in the quarter-finals to the British Amy Truesdale by 30 to 9. In a statement to MAP, Akermach said she was happy to have won this medalthe second collected by Moroccan para-taekwondoists in Paris after that ofAyoub Adouich.
She noted that this feat is the result of long-term work and intense training, expressing the hope of doing better in future meetings.
For this part, Fatima Zahra El Idrissi took second place on the podium with a time of 4min 22sec 98/100th, her best time this year. Gold went to the Ethiopian Tigist Gezahagn Menigstu who won in 4:22.39. The bronze was won by the American Liza Corso (4.23.45).
Thanks to these medals, the Moroccan harvest amounts to four medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
