The awards show will air live in more than 150 countries to celebrate the year’s best music videos at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 11.
The nominations for this edition are led by Taylor Swift (10), Post Malone (9); Ariana Grande, Eminem y Sabrina Carpenter (6); Megan Thee Stallion y SZA (5) y LISA, Olivia Rodrigo y Teddy Swims (4).
Swift was nominated for her music video Fortnightas well as in the categories of Artist of the Year and Best Pop; while Post Malone earned his ninth nomination for his song I Had Some Help alongside Morgan Wallen.

Others nominated for Artist of the Year They are Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter and SZA.
Camilla Cabello, winner of four awards in previous editions and this 2024 nominated for Best Pop Artist, will perform for the third time at this awards gala that will also feature rap singer GloRilla, who will arrive with three nominations, includingBest Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration.
Rauw Alejandro, winner of a Latin Grammy, will perform for the first time at these awards in which he has three nominations, including that of Best Latin Videoas well as Chapell Roan, which is nominated for awards in two categories, including that of Best New Artist.
Also performing will be actress, singer and songwriter Sabrina Carpenter, nominated for the first time in six categories including Best Actress. Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

In 2023, Taylor Swift took home nine awards for a total of 23That puts her just behind Beyoncé, who has 28, and just ahead of Madonna, who has 20 awards, and Lady Gaga, who has 19.
MTV has confirmed that in memory of the victims of September 11, 2001, the awards will support non-profit organizations 9/11-Day y Tuesday’s Children.
The Fan voting in 15 categories is active online and ends on August 30th.
Voting in the Best New Artist category will remain active throughout the show.
